A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a part time Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer to join one of our most respected housing association clients on a permanent basis. Based in Epsom, our client is happy for you to work predominantly from home in this 21 hour per week role, but you will be expected to use your own vehicle to carry out visits when needed. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient housing service, as well as for tackling anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement such as sub letting and tenancy fraud. You'll also be required to work with partners to deliver a community based service. Key aspects of this role include: * Leading on the investigation and management of all alleged ASB, sub letting and tenancy fraud reports in line with policy and procedures. * Using your initiative to achieve positive outcomes, ensuring effective support to both complainants and alleged perpetrators. * Conducting interviews, taking witness statements and initiating and helping to prepare legal proceedings, including acting as a Court Witness and working closely with the legal team when required. * Pursuing appropriate legal remedies which range from injunctions, possession orders, or other legal remedies in conjunction with other agencies e.g. Criminal Behaviour Orders (ASB). * Identifying vulnerabilities that may be a factor in ASB complainants and alleged perpetrators behaviour and provide appropriate support and/or referrals. * Ensuring close work and referrals with relevant agencies to help residents to be supported and safeguarded. * Identifying, developing and implementing preventative measures and diversionary projects to reduce ASB, tenancy fraud and sub letting. This includes for example working closely with colleagues on scheme improvements and community engagement to deter ASB. In this role, it is essential that you possess up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and recent experience of working in a social housing environment. Experience of building and sustaining productive relations with key stakeholders, including local authorities, police, social services etc is also needed.
