Role - Registered Nurse - Permanent - part time 12-24hrs Are you a Registered Nurse looking for your next exciting role? Are you looking to pursue you career further within a nursing home setting? If yes this may be the perfect role for you. The Homes provide comfortable, safe and homely environments for all of our residents. Role Purpose - To provide high quality nursing care and to assist in identifying and addressing the health and social care of a wide variety of service users. Supervise other staff members as required. Requires a valid NMC PIN. To be aware of Safeguarding procedures and protocols and ensure these are adhered to at all times. Duties and Responsibilities - * To provide a high standard of direct nursing care to service users, based on assessment of care needs and in consultation with the service user, their relatives and the care team. * To continuously evaluate the quality of care given, and regularly reassess the needs of service users and to effect change required to achieve planned goals. * To administer and order medicines. * Liase with GP, chiropodist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and other members of the wider care team. * Care planning and implementing of care plans. * To work within the NMC Code of Conduct, scope of practice and within the home?s policies and procedures. * To continually review their own nursing practices to develop new skills and knowledge through continuous professional development training that contribute to the enhancement of client care skills. * To work closely with other members of the care team, ensuring that effective, high quality care is given, to achieve planned goals. * To ensure effective and efficient use of home resources. * To keep next of kin informed of significant changes in a service users condition. * To ensure religious, cultural, emotional and psychological support for service users and their families. * To attend and partake in relevant staff meetings. * To be aware of all homes? policies and procedures. * To be aware of duties in respect of fire prevention and evacuation procedures in the event of a fire. Role - * Shift times 8pm to 8am night - 8am to 8pm days * Shift pattern - week 1 (1 night shift), week 2 (1 night shift & 1 day shift on a Saturday or Sunday) * 12-24 hours per week * £17 per hour
