A privately owned business that has gone from strength to strength over since our inception in 2010. With the current development of our bespoke in-house software system, we require a Software Developer to support the Software Development Manager based at our office in Letchworth, Herts. Job Purpose To assist the current Software Development Manager with the continuing development of our new software solution (iBMS) and to improve efficiency, the reliability of existing modules and to push the business forward as it grows and more processes are identified for the solution. Key Responsibilities * Developing reusable code / modules and implementing efficient code to help solve complex problems * Developing Responsive User Interfaces * A desire to solve problems (fix bugs and support issues) and see tasks through to completion. * Test code and help introduce a better Testing strategy * A passion for continuous learning and to embrace the concept of iBMS to achieve its aims. * The ability to be a mentor to more junior colleagues where appropriate. * The ability to work closely with the Business Liaison / Senior Software QA Associate and the Software Development Manager to ensure requirements are gathered and met, to help scope out and deliver solutions with a methodical approach to relatively short timelines. Key Skills/Attributes/Education Essential: * A degree and a technical background is required to gain a Software Developer role. Degrees in the following subjects are particularly advantageous: * Computer Science * Computer Software Engineering * Software Programming and Development * Minimum 5 years Software Development Experience with the following technologies: * SQL Databases / Redis Cache, Database Design ? Code First Methodology * Programming & User Interface Design using C# .NET CORE MVC, LINQ, Bootstrap, JQuery, CSS, HTML5, DevExtreme * JIRA / Agile / RAD Development * Git Source Control Desirable: * Any exposure to the following is advantageous: * Azure SQL Database and Cloud Architecture * Google API?s * Mobile App Development - Xamarin
