Delivery Driver - Hexham / Carlisle Delivery Driver - a leading courier company searching for Delivery Drivers to deliver small parcels to domestic addresses across the local area. This is a great opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join the growing team based at the established depot of a major online retailer in Carlisle. Key Duties: Collection of small parcels from depot (no sorting) Follow pre-planned routes (via sat nav software) Provide excellent levels of customer service What is on offer: Training - structured training is provided to all new starters, this includes a full induction, online training and building up experience on smaller rounds - you will receive full pay whilst working on training routes. Day Plan - parcels are sorted by the retailer overnight and ready to be loaded. Plus routes pre-programmed into sat nav software automatically upon collection. Van Hire Available - a short wheelbase van can be provided at a cost of £100 per week (van only) or £195 per week for a van with all the necessary courier insurances. Owner Drivers - it is possible to provide your own van. Mileage Paid / Fuel Card - all business mileage is paid for by the company plus a company fuel card is available to both owner drivers and those taking advantage of the van hire scheme. Hours - working days are planned to 9 hours; this includes loading time and travel time. Your working day finishes when you complete your route. Salary & Bonus - the salary is £114 a day; the average basic wage is £2,200 to £2,800 a month depending on the amount of days worked (5-6 to 6 days a week average). Drivers can also expect to earn an extra up to £500 a month in performance related bonuses taking potential earnings to £3,200 a month. This is our best preforming depot which means all the drivers receive the maximum bonus every month (circa £440 - £530 a month). Requirements: We are looking for individuals with a minimum age of 25, you must hold a Driving Licence (6 points or less) and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. We will provide structured training to all new starters meaning that no previous delivery driver experience is necessary.
