Safeguarding Social Worker – Adult Social Care

We are looking for a confident, knowledgeable registered Social Worker with strong safeguarding expertise and sound professional judgement.

This role is full‑time, permanent and is expected to be based in our Time Square office or hospital sites 3–4 days per week, with additional flexible working arrangements including remote work options.

Main duties of the job

• Undertake safeguarding enquiries, upholding peoples’ choice and control, empowering adults within a risk‑enablement and strengths‑based approach.
• Apply strong knowledge of adult safeguarding, including S42 enquiries, Making Safeguarding Personal and the Care Act (2014).
• Complete safeguarding work within the timeframes and guidance provided by Bracknell Forest Council.
• Coordinate and work effectively with ward/MDT and family, providing professional advice in a timely manner to support hospital discharge.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage safeguarding alerts.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with current UK professional registration.
• Demonstrable experience in the adult safeguarding arena, including S42 enquiries and assessment of risk and mental capacity.
• Confident decision‑making skills and commitment to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard adults at risk.
• Must meet DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check requirements.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A submission for Disclosure will be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
