Become part of our supportive Early Help team at Bracknell Forest Council, where the work you do each day can make a real and lasting difference to families' lives. This position supports children, young people and families to thrive and build resilience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of families with complex and unique needs, linking them to universal and targeted services while considering individual and cultural contexts.
- Conduct comprehensive family assessments and develop supportive interventions, ensuring safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Deliver programmes and group work, coordinating a Team Around the Family approach to enable children, young people and families to be resilient and make positive life choices.
- Work closely and creatively with local communities, voluntary organisations, childcare and education providers (0‑19 years) and partner agencies to connect families to appropriate services.
- Operate within established procedures for handling and assessing information, including confidentiality, safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment, ensuring timely support packages.
- Experience working across agencies, contributing to multi‑agency meetings and supporting positive outcomes for families.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk and vulnerability in adults and children, and ability to maintain accurate case records and develop support plans in line with service standards, protocols and GDPR requirements.
- Organised, collaborative and confident in managing complex cases, keeping the voices of children, young people and families at the centre.
This role includes an expectation to work from our Time Square office on agreed days with your manager, alongside flexible working arrangements. The council offers a variety of flexible working practices, including options for remote working and arrangements that allow you to work from home, dependent on the needs of the service.
