Description
We are pleased to be recruiting for a leading food manufacturer, based in Bradford (BD8). Our client, a manufacturing facility, operates around the clock to provide customers with straight and crinkle cut crisps. We have immediate starts available! Hours of work are: Rotating shifts Week 1 Monday to Thursday 06:00 ? 18:00 Week 2 Tuesday to Friday 18:00 ? 06:00 Main Responsibilities; ? Work closely with the Operational Shift Leaders you will provide support on any quality issues. ? Undertake line audits ensuring all products are within specification, procedures are being adhered to and personnel are following correct protocol. ? Conduct line checks which include organoleptic assessment, flavour settings checks, bag depth, oxygen levels, seal integrity, coding accuracy, salt analysis and weight checks. ? Control backstock and retained samples as required. ? Conduct oil testing including polar compounds and NIR. ? Undertake random ATP and environmental swabbing against scheduled plan. ? As required provide support during investigations following a customer complaint. ? Always promote and ensure safe working practices across the site whilst ensuring you comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies/procedures. ? Undertake any other duties as and when necessary commensurate with the post to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: ? Experience within the food manufacturing environment desirable ? A good level of competence in English, both written and verbal ? Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety (desirable) ? Awareness of health and safety and food safety / hygiene requirements is desirable ? Previous experience working within a quality assurance role would be advantageous. ? Able to work quickly and accurately when following instructions with an excellent attention to detail. ? Excellent time management and prioritisation skills are essential in this position ? An ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the organisation. ? With a strong teamwork ethic, you will be a highly organised, multi-tasker with an ability to work under pressure. ? Proven experience of problem solving with the ability to take a logical approach to decision making and be decisive under pressure. ? Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Expected behaviours & attitude: ? Works collaboratively and has a positive approach to their role doing whatever is needed to get the job done. ?
