Housekeeping Manager, Overton

Housekeeping Manager To inspire and lead a small, dynamic team of friendly housekeepers and ensure a smooth day to day running of a private house, providing an excellent service to the house owners. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Day to day management of a small team of housekeepers including staff inductions, training and performance management * Working with the team to plan and deliver all routine cleaning activities * Helping the team provide laundry duties, washing, drying and ironing * Assisting with communications and facilitation of maintenance work to the house * Providing front of house service for events and where necessary * Ensuring all rotas are in place, prioritising workload to overcome day to day issues * Carrying out regular inspections and spot checks * Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met * Ad-hock driving, mainly pick ups and drop offs to train stations * Working closely with the farm workers to ensure produce requirements are met for the house * Keeping track of expenses and credit card receipts * To provide support with various tasks such as package returns, shopping and packing for family travel * To assist the House Chef with food preparation and serving * To drive and create a uniformed process for the team * Provide care for antique furniture * Provide regular exercise for the family pets (dogs) * Occasional sewing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Team Leader in a hotel environment or similar * Engaging personable and and friendly * To have the drive to develop skills * Resilient * Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment * Organised * The ability to work well with people * Problem solving skills * Attention to detail
