Quantity Surveyor, BD10

Compass Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a growing main contractor based in the Leeds/Bradford area. The company are focusing their future projects on the conversion of existing buildings into residential apartments. This will often be listed buildings and usually commercial buildings which they plan to purchase, convert/develop/refurbish and then sell on as high-spec residential apartments. The company also work on fit-out projects across the commercial and leisure sectors. They have in house design team which enable them to deliver a true turnkey service, coupled with a high level of customer service they have a wide customer base of repeat clients. They undertake projects usually from £100k - £5m. Ideally candidates will have over 5 years? experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, for a main contractor and have a proven track record of managing your own schemes. Experience of working on residential refurbishment projects is particularly important to the client at this time. Ideally you will have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a Construction related discipline. Duties include: Liaising with clients, liaising with the supply chain, procurement of subcontractors, variations, valuations, performing take offs, final accounts and cost reporting. This is a full time, permanent position, required ASAP. Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. All Health & Safety risks will be covered in induction.
