Mill Operative, Thirsk

WHAT COMPANY WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR? A leading agricultural company based in Thirsk is looking to appoint Mill Operatives on temporary-to-permanent contracts, with immediate starts available. The business has a stable background, consisting of providing quality products for over 35 years. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE? You will be working as a Mill Operative, which will see you: Lifting and packing finished products Ensuring products are labelled correctly Assisting with equipment maintenance Cleaning equipment in a daily basis Communicating with managers and co-workers Performing general work around the facility This role is perfectly suited to you if you are enthusiastic and keen to learn, which will see you rewarded with progression opportunities. You will also have the chance to work across different parts of the factory so will see variation in the role.  WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED? To be considered for the role of Mill Operative, you should: Ideally have previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment Have your own safety boots (Hi-Viz vest will be provided) Hold an in-date Forklift Truck License (Desired but not essential) Be comfortable working within a factory environment, consisting of changing temperatures Ideally hold a driving license as there may be an opportunity to work at another site located 2 miles away Have a flexible approach to job duties WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF THIS ROLE? This is a temporary-to-permanent role, whereby you will be made permanent upon completion of a successful probationary period (after 12 weeks). You will work 40 hours per week and 2 shifts are available working from Monday ? Friday (6.00am until 4.00pm and 4.00pm until 2.30am). Weekend work is also available and comes with excellent overtime rates, however, these shifts are flexible.  WHAT SALARY PACKAGE WILL YOU BE RECEIVING? You will receive a basic hourly rate of £9 for 40 hours work per week. Excellent overtime rates are available as follows: £14.21 for Saturday shifts and £16.42 for Sunday shifts (if a Saturday has been worked consecutively)  FANCY A CHAT?
