Job Title: Registered Children?s Home Manager Hours per week: 40 Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (plus target bonuses) Permanent Urgent start The company We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed Registered Manager. To hold legal responsibility and provide leadership and management of our new 16 bed residential Children?s home. Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic care to vulnerable people as part of Valicity Care Services? Care Specialist Service Model. Managing and developing staff teams and individuals, as well as contributing to the overall objectives of the wider organisation. The Role * As a Registered Manager, you will be required to provide support and care directly to the children and young people within your care. * Lead and coordinate the development, implementation and delivery of the service user?s Care Plan across the integrated services; communicating and setting goals, supporting practice development and ensuring progress is monitored effectively. * Develop the staff team?s knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and processes; leading, coordinating and resolving safeguarding matters as required * Co-ordinate the training and lead, the formal professional development of staff teams ensuring that learning is applied in the home and reflected upon in supervisions. * Take the lead in ensuring an open culture is created, one in which children feel that they can complain and that they are listened to * Respond quickly and appropriately to referrals in line with organisational requirements including matching processes, aspiring to full occupancy levels at all times. * Meet organisational Key Performance Indicators as required. * Lead the strategic development of all aspects of the home, including a therapeutic homely environment - planning, organising and delegating to others to assist this process. * Be the standard setter in homemaking and care for the fabric, equipment and grounds of the home and wider organisation, monitoring and overseeing that this standard is understood and met. * Work in collaboration with Human Resources to manage all employee relations within the home, in line with current employment legislation and the company?s policies and procedures * Work closely with the Senior Management Team to achieve an Outstanding Children?s Home The ideal Candidate * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for residential childcare or the equivalent and Level 3 in Children & Young people or equivalent * Experience of leading and managing teams * Robust knowledge of regulatory and legislative framework Experience of supporting children and young people with EBD * Good knowledge about Ofsted inspections and regulations * A proven Ofsted good history of record * Understanding of a variety of different therapeutic models The Benefits: * Competitive Salary * Bonus Earning potential * 28 days Holiday per year (Plus Bank Holidays) * Career and pay progression potential Please note, all applicants are subject to undergo enhanced DBS and reference checks
