Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Service, Market Drayton

Deputy Manager required for a 8 bed service based in the Market Drayton area. (Currently has 2 young people) Hours: 35hrs pw / shift work + a generous shift allowance £5000 Service: Children?s Residential. The ideal candidate must have level 3 in children and young people or residential childcare + 1 year + senior experience and have their driving licence and own vehicle. Shift pattern is: 5 forty-eight hour shifts (10 sleep ins) {240hours} plus 5.5 hours office time. Totalling 245.5 hours per month. This home is 8 bedded, currently home to 2 young girls. This is a Learning Disabilities provision. About the role: Through your oversight you will ensure the delivery of high quality therapeutic care to young people as part of our integrated service offering. In order to achieve this you will hold a comprehensive knowledge of PACE model of therapeutic parenting, along with a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation's. You will assist with the responsibility for the recruitment and retention of a large specialised staff team and will have the ability to quickly develop trusting professional relationships. You will role model our values and expected behaviours at all times and work to ensure these behaviours are replicated throughout your team. To apply for this role you will need * NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People * To have previous experience of seniority in a large residential setting * Have extensive experience of supporting Children with learning disabilities * Have a thorough knowledge of models of care for children and young people with learning difficulties. * To hold a full UK driving licence Experience will be taken into consideration when determining your starting salary and as such may increase the overall package.
