Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial records of our business. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining accurate financial data, reconciling accounts, and supporting basic accounting tasks.

This is a flexible part-time role suitable for someone who is organised, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems
  • Record daily financial transactions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Assist with VAT returns and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations
  • Work with accounting software Xero

Requirements

  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Experience using accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • AAT qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working with small businesses
  • Knowledge of UK VAT and HMRC reporting

Pay: £13,500.00-£18,500.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brentwood CM15 8QF
