Housekeeper - Medical Assessment Unit

We are currently recruiting a full‑time Housekeeper for the Medical Assessment Unit at Chorley Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive “can‑do” attitude to join our amazing team.

Our unit is very busy and demanding, yet it has a friendly, warm atmosphere. Our established team strives to provide an excellent standard of care to all patients, working closely together to meet day‑to‑day pressures with positivity and high energy.

Main duties of the job

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Support basic administration duties, including stock management, ordering, and stock rotation.

Provide refreshments to patients.

Work as part of a team with another housekeeper to provide 7‑day cover; the role is daytime only.

Person specification Qualifications & Education

• Educated to GCSE level.
• GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or level 2 numeracy and literacy skills.

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous experience of working with the public.
• Awareness of the concept and application of confidentiality.
• Experience working with patients or in a healthcare setting.
