Applications Engineer, Bridgwater

Location: Bridgwater

Salary: £36,000 - £49,000 per annum

• Design technically and commercially effective metal and PTFE sealing solutions.
• Provide technical training to Sales and Applications Engineers.
• Provide technical assistance either from Bridgwater or during customer visits.
• Guide Sales Engineers towards sales opportunities through product and case history training.
• Compile and project manage technical and commercial proposals.
• Make presentations for technical training and product promotion.
• Assist Marketing Companies with promotional activities such as trade shows, customer visits and advertisement designs.
• 30% design, 70% applications work.

• Applications Engineering experience or Mechanical Design background.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Experience in the sealing industry is a clear advantage; experience in Oil and Gas, Food Processing, Automotive, Aerospace, Compressors or Semiconductor industries also advantageous.
• Manufacturing / engineering essential.
• Problem solving: able to understand key customer requirements and find the best solution for both customer and business.
• PC skills – proficient in MS Office, CAD (NX), FEA (Abaqus).
