Inspire, Innovate, Succeed Role Title: Lecturer in Welsh Location: Deeside Contract Type: Full Time, Maternity Cover Salary scale: £24,807 - £40,485 Please note this salary will be based on a salary assessment and relevant experience Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Lecturer in Welsh to join our team based in Deeside. Overview of Role As a Lecturer you will teach and inspire our learners in delivering a variety of courses including GCSE and A Level Welsh, Skills Challenge Certificate and Work Welsh Language Skills in vocational and apprenticeships. You will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students' work, and liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. You will also provide educational guidance, support and counselling for all students whilst participating in the marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision. You will also liaise student sponsors and employers, whilst completing and producing the agreed deadlines documentation such as; registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports and absence reports. With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will have knowledge of a broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment and demonstrate and understanding of current developments within your own specialist area. You should be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas. Requirements Qualified to a minimum of Level 4 in a relevant specialist subject area Posses or working towards a teaching qualification PGCE, Cert Ed or C&G 7407 Committed to providing the highest standards in teaching and learning Competent in using MS Office or Google Drive and applications and using the internet and intranet Able to develop and use a range of learning and teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player, displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment Coleg Cambria is committed to raising the profile of the Welsh language - Welsh language skills are essential for this position.
