Job Title: Finance Director Location: Brighton Salary: £50-55k (pro rata) Hours: 2-3 days per week (flexible hours) Immediate Start Our client based in Brighton is looking to recruit a Finance Director to help support a rapidly growing digital advertising agency. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership in the support of day to day operations and business projects and continually drive process and improvements. Responsibilities Lead all financial activities. Prepare and present management and financial information, including the timely and accurate financial reporting of business results and commentary on unexpected fluctuations/variances against forecast. Provide strategic and operational financial leadership. Responsibility for the Company accounting system, including all bookkeeping, account accuracy, invoicing, cash flow, audit and accounting practices, and payroll. Ensure that financial records and controls are maintained and operated in an appropriate manner. Be instrumental in the production of business plans and budgeting, and provide data for department managers to control and manage budgets. Prepare the statutory accounts and tax computations including liaison with external advisors. Liaise with Government bodies i.e. Revenue & Customs to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and legislation. Ensure that the cash position is controlled and known at all times. Act as an advisor on all commercial related matters. Requirements Strong leadership, inter-personal, communication and presentation skills useable in written, telephone and face-to-face situations. To demonstrate a methodical and organised approach, coupled with an eye for detail and the ability to identify and investigate areas of inaccuracy or error, and the tenacity to see problems through to their resolution. The ability to apply an appropriate level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive or provocative issues. The ability to gain and maintain the confidence, trust and acceptance from all people, including clients and colleagues. The ability to learn quickly and establish a high degree of knowledge and expertise in your particular field. To demonstrate a consistent and sustained focus and commitment to achieving targets and timescales, despite setbacks, obstacles and other compromised situations. To be creative in design; organised and persuasive in development; disciplined and effective in delivery; and attentive and proactive in all of your work. The ability to affect opinions and influence decisions through these use of persuasive, intelligent argument and innovative ideas, whilst maintaining integrity and respect. To possess excellent management accounting, forecasting, budgeting and commercial skills. The ability to create a centre of excellence by maintaining the highest standards of work, performance and attitude at all times.
