Maintenance Engineer, Newhaven

The client are a thriving leading manufacturer and designer of dispensary products for the hygiene and cleaning sector. Due to significant success and growth they are looking to strengthen their team. The role will suit a Maintenance Technician or Multi Skilled Engineer. The company are based in East Sussex so Brighton, Newhaven, Worthing, Eastbourne and Horsham are within easy commutable distance. Duties / Responsibilities are; Provide rapid response in the resolution of equipment and plant malfunctions, carry out fault finding repairs and refurbishments. Develop and refine local operating procedures to maximise efficiency and minimise waste (scrap, reworks, unplanned inspections). Develop and process plant efficiency - utilise measures to use as a tool for continuous improvement. Continuously strive to eliminate and reduce waste within the manufacturing process. Develop and implement planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant and other equipment whilst controlling costs. Integration of new plant equipment into the production environment. Adhere and improve housekeeping standards through the use of the 5S approach. I am keen to see CV's from maintenance technicians who hold the following skills/expertise; Practical background working in a maintenance function within a manufacturing environment. Previously carried out repairs, PPM and fault found on complex plant/production machinery. Pneumatic and Hydraulic expertise. Experience of using PLC controls. Ideally experience with plastics injection moulding machines Ability to manage projects and problem solve. Some flexibility with call outs, working hours where required.
