Teaching Assistant, Brighton and Hove

This role is predominantly based in our Internal Intervention space that we have within school.

Bevendean Primary School&Nursery has an exceptional staff team of Class Teachers, Nursery to Year 6; including a facility for deaf children. We have a team of Learning Mentors, Teaching Assistants and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants supporting in all classes.

Part-time:31.25 hours a week - Term Time Only 8.30am - 3.15pm

Paid weeks per year: 47.36 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Fixed term:Until 22 nd July 2027

Start date: 1 September 2026

The successful applicant will:

• A desire to work with children, including those with special educational needs, across the Primary age range (Nursery to Year 6) and an understanding of the importance of early learning.
• Patience and a sense of humour.
• The ability to work as part of a team and support your colleagues.
• A commitment to helping to get the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Be adaptable and flexible.
• An awareness of issues relating to child protection.
