HSE Advisor, Selby

An EHS Advisor is required for a world-class business that manufacture and supply products to a highly successful industry at their site near Selby in North Yorkshire. Supplying bespoke products into varied industries, the business is at the forefront of research and development into material science. Due to department investment, this business are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic EHS Advisor to add value to the department. Duties and Responsibilities Include: * Coach and counsel line leadership on environmental matters and their accountabilities * Develop systems to ensure permitting and compliance activities are sustained across the region * Develop relationships and promote EHS across employees across all levels of the business * Ensure compliance in relation to all relevant legislation in relation to permits and HSE management systems * Provide technical guidance on air compliance, water discharge and waste management projects * Assist locations in development of environmental compliance calendars to ensure all compliance requirements are maintained * Provide EHS advice and support for the plant and liaising with staff at all levels * Maintenance and development of the sites ISO45001 and ISO14001 Management Systems * Develop and deliver training for HSE across the business * Support the HSE Manager with risk assessments and investigations The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: * Ideally a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or closely related discipline * Manufacturing background * NEBOSH Qualified * Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and procedures * Experience in developing and maintaining compliance systems * Strong communication skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills This is an outstanding opportunity for a progressive EHS Advisor to join a thriving business as it enters an exciting period.
