BIM Manager, Wiltshire

BIM Manager An opportunity has been created for an experienced BIM Manager to join a Civil Engineering Main Contractor. As an organisation they currently work on a number of projects spanning across Highways, Rail, Tunnelling and Civils across the UK. The BIM Development Manager will lead the development of Building Information Management (BIM) capability for the business across the UK. They will continually assess current industry good practice and identify areas the company should concentrate resources to achieve competitive advantage over its market competition. Key Duties: Lead the implementation of companywide document control standardisation processManage 2D/3D modelling resource, including freelance resources where required. Raising the awareness and the profile of BIM within the business unil Promoting cultural change within the business to embrace technology and new processes and to work collaboratively. Supporting clients in understanding the potential benefits of BIM Overseeing the utilisation of BIM from tender stage work winning through to handover Developing and leading a high performing team Reviewing and verifying external supply chain BIM capabilities for the business unit Identifying and delivering training to internal and external team members Continuously contributing to the development of the Group?s BIM strategy Experience Required: Experience operating in a dedicated BIM role working for a Main Contractor Experience Identifying, interpreting and applying required industry/ client/ internal BIM and CAD standards Experience of working in multiple Common Data Environments Experience utilising both Autodesk and Bentley Systems 2D & 3D applications. About the person: With a pipeline of projects set to start in the next couple of months it?s a busy time for the organisation and there?s never been a better time to join. With this is mind the ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a can-do attitude who will be able to respond to changing situations and setbacks positively with actions.
