Production Operatives, Runcorn

Hexagon Recruitment are looking for a Production Operative to join their client?s warehouse in Runcorn. You will be working for a large manufacturer, specialist moulders in plastic components. Hours of work: 12 hour shifts ? days and nights Role: * Set up and operate injection-moulding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials * Install dies on machine, according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts, and hand tools. * Set machine controls, regulating moulding temperature, volume of plastic, moulding pressure and time, according to knowledge of plastics and moulding procedures. * Add premixed plastic powders or pellets into hopper * Pull lever to close dies and inject plastic into dies to cast part. * Remove finished product from dies, using hand tools. * Trim excess material from part, using knife. * Grind scrap plastic into powder for reuse. Essential Skills: * Previous experience working on a fast production line is essential * Okay with a very labour-intensive role * Must be physically fit as this work includes heavy lifting * Happy to complete repetitive tasks Benefits: ?
