British Sign Language Level 3 Teaching Assistant - BSL, Solihull

TeacherActive are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is experienced using British Sign Language (BSL) with a minimum Level 3 to join a specialist Secondary School for children with hearing impairments in Solihull. You will be required to support and assist with the academic and personal development of students with hearing impairments. You will have the opportunity to work with visually impaired students, in which you will be able to develop an understanding for tactile signing as well as utilising BSL. You will be required to encourage self-confidence, differentiate the work to meet the students? needs and create a fun and engaging learning environment for students across all ages. The perfect candidate will be required to have: Certification in British Sign language (BSL) ? minimum level 2 qualification Experience working with secondary aged pupils Experience working with hearing impairments and Special Needs Have a passion and love for education Be dedicated, engaging and inspiring Be committed to ensuring pupils make consistent progress Inspire pupils to reach their full potential through engaging and stimulating teaching Assist and support the classroom teacher with their day to day running of a class.
