Who we are: VMS (Fleet Management) Ltd is a forward-thinking fleet management and contract hire company with facilities throughout the UK. VMS provides a range of services to both blue chip and SME fleet operators and Insurance companies including contract hire, flexi hire, accident management repair and maintenance and fleet disposal and sales services. VMS have built a strong, dynamic client base and pride ourselves on customer retention. Customer service and client focus are paramount to the business. Main Purpose To ensure that the VMS vehicle fleet, including ancillary items, are maintained to statutory, manufacturer, client and company requirements Ensure that the internal audit process is reported on a daily, weekly, monthly basis Keeping downtime to a minimum through proactive planning and effective working to relevant transport legislation requirements. Key accountabilities/responsibilities Maintain good working relationships with clients and repairers whilst ensuring effective control of maintenance activity in line with legal and requirements and Company operating procedures Manage manufacturers? recalls, safety recalls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance is maintained at all times. To assure compliance with customer?s Operators licences. To ensure that all relevant documentation relating to the above is completed and kept up to date in line with laid down standards of operation. To ensure that all client vehicle documentation and service records are kept up to date and legally compliant at all times (e.g. MOTs, service intervals maintained in line with warranties, tachograph calibration certificates) To ensure all of the above is planned and completed on VMS company planners and detailed records made on client database. To ensure that service and maintenance providers comply with the maintenance and safety inspection programmes that apply to Fleet equipment and vehicles. Escalating any poor dealer performance to the Compliance Team Leader Skills: Effective use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and confident (with training) in use of both VMS and client bespoke software packages. Knowledge: Understanding of Compliance and quality control methods Experience: Minimum of 1 years? experience in commercial vehicle fleet compliance Minimum of 1 year?s customer service experience - interacting with external clients Hours: 40 per week Monday to Friday Salary: £18,500 per annum
