Job Role: Category CE Driver (Also known as Class 1, Class one, HGV, LGV) Salary: £14 - £16 per hour + Benefits Start date: Negotiable Hours: 40 hours over 5 days About our Client: Our Client is a sixty-year-old family business. About you: Their drivers are the face of their distribution operation and are visible to thousands of customers and potential customers whilst out on the road. Their drivers regularly interact with the shop teams and suppliers. It is essential that you have a high standard of customer service skills and a friendly personality. You must be able to work together with the shop and warehouse teams to get the shelves filled with stock that is in perfect condition. You will work quickly and as efficiently as possible in order to pass on great savings to your customers, so you must be prepared to work hard and get stuck in unloading the delivery off your lorry ready for the shop teams. Essential: Category CE licence A Digital Tachograph card Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card Maximum of 6 points on driving licence No dangerous driving or drink-related endorsements on driving licence A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work Desirable: Experience with refrigeration units and tail lifts SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) Role responsibilities: Completing delivery drops to shops. Unloading palletised goods from the vehicle to a designated area within the shop using a Powered Pallet Truck. Collecting waste and other items from the shop to return to the depot.
