Production Manager & Technical Lead (Events / AV), Bristol

Location: Somerset

Salary: (£40,000 - £45,000)

Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established lighting company that supplies the theatre, TV, film and events sectors. They are looking for a hands‑on Production Manager/Technical Lead to oversee job preparation, warehouse operations, crew coordination and on‑site technical work.

You will manage planning calendars, transport logistics, job documentation, stock control and the smooth running of the warehouse team. The role also includes working at height, basic electrical repairs, equipment maintenance and leading installations on site.

• Coordinate transport, maintain planning calendars, confirm site access and prepare job packs.
• Lead on‑site installations, rigging, working at height; carry out equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Oversee stock preparation/returns, maintain digital inventory and implement simple SOPs.
• Maintain crew availability, assist with briefs and support welfare planning.

• Strong technical background (lighting, AV, theatre or rigging).
• Confident working at height with solid H&S awareness.
• Highly organised with good IT skills.
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable managing multiple moving parts.
• Full UK driving licence; flexible for early starts or weekends in peak season.
