We’re supporting the search for an experienced Configuration Controller to join a fast-paced engineering environment on a contract basis in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering robust configuration management across complex projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and effective change control.

The Role

Reporting to the Configuration Control & PLM Manager, you will take ownership of configuration management activities across the full engineering lifecycle.

You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure engineering data, documentation, and change processes are effectively managed and controlled.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate configuration item data and produce configuration status reports
• Ensure adherence to configuration control processes and support internal/external audits
• Capture and manage hardware and software build standards
• Control engineering documentation and project deliverables
• Manage engineering change processes (ECRs, product tracking, etc.)
• Facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and drive stakeholder engagement
• Provide reporting to support project delivery and continuous improvement
• Administer and enhance Siemens Teamcenter (PLM)
• Contribute to Configuration Management Plans for bids and projects
• Deliver training to engineers and stakeholders on CM processes

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in configuration control or change management
• Background in multi-disciplinary engineering environments (hardware & software)
• Experience managing documentation, baselines, and engineering changes
• Familiarity with PLM systems – Teamcenter preferred
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
