HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER– ASTON People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and the opportunity to join a reputable and growing logistics operation.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, Tramper Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Shifts• Monday to Sunday • 5 days out of 7 Rates of Pay • Days – £17.50 per hour • Nights – £18.50 per hour• Saturday – £20.00 per hour • Sunday – £21.50 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Immediate starts available • Employee wellbeing programme Day-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:• Completing fridge work with a maximum of three store deliveries per shift • No handball involved • Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transportation • Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements promptly • Supporting loadingand unloading duties where requiredEssential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:• A valid UK Category CE Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good spoken and written English • Excellent timekeeping and reliability • A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations • Strong communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous multi-drop delivery experienceTraining Provided• Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for further information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
