SEMH Teaching Assistant, Burnley

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Burnley based School which caters for pupils who have SEMH Difficulties and challenging behaviours.  The School caters for KS1 / 2 pupils who are no longer able to remain in mainstream education, often due to their behaviour or additional needs.  The School is based in Burnley, East Lancashire and the school hours are 8.30am - 3pm Monday - Friday!  The candidate suited to this role must be hard working, empathetic, resilient and compassionate. The candidate must be available to work the full school hours and ideally, candidates will be able to drive as you may be expected to do some outreach work!  The role will start as soon as possible and candidates must be comfortable working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are challenging in their behaviours.  Candidates applying for this role must also have an understanding of the KS1 / 2 curriculum and ideally come from a background in working in education or youth work.  The pay for this role will be between £70 - 75 per day and it is a long term role.  If this role sounds ideal for you please do not hesitate to contact me on   All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
