Engineering Manager (Medical Devices/Software) £70,000 - £75,000 + Share Options + Company Benefits Cambridge Are you an Engineering Manager from a Medical Device and Software development background looking for progression into a CTO role and share options with one of the most exciting start-ups in the medical device industry? Quite simply are you looking to help save lives by developing AI to find cancer more efficiently and quickly and be part of a pioneering team looking to revolutionise how cancer is found and treated? On offer is an opportunity to join a start up where you will be one of the first handful of employees developing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning using image processing techniques to find and treat cancer more effectively and quickly. This is an opportunity to establish yourself in the infancy of this company and grow with the business. You will be commercially focused and have experience of developing software for medical devices, as well as having an understanding of how to get a product to market, testing and commissioning as well as managing the overall scope of the project from development, timing and budget constraints. A background in AI is not essential but a understanding would be beneficial as you will be working with leading engineers who have already produced outstanding results. This is very much at the development stage with 90% still to be evolved and developed to make it commercially viable. You will be able to see your work from conception through to roll out on a mass scale. This role would suit someone who is passionate about wanting to make a difference and save lives in the long term. THE ROLE Medical device development Managing projects or small development teams Software development Development, approvals and post-market management of medical devices with CE Mark, preferably with a large software component, including QMS, ISO13485, IEC62304, ISO14971 Obtaining CE mark and/or FDA approvals, preferably Class II/IIa/IIb Programming in Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow or Keras, C/C++, Flask/back-end, Javascript/front-end Clinical development, studies or trials, for example designing/running clinical evaluationsTHE PERSON Engineering Management background Software Development and Medical Device background (Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow or Keras, C/C++, Flask/back-end, Javascript/front-end) Engineering degree or PhD, or equivalent in a related subject Data science, AI, deep learning or machine learning experience either through your job or personal interest, for example Coursera, Udemy or fast.ai courses would be advantageous NOT essentialEngineering, Manager, CTO, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Programming, Development, Software, Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow or Keras, C/C++, Flask/back-end, Javascript/front-end, Project, Medical Devices, If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
