This small, but growing team is a spin-out from the University of Cambridge, founded in 2018 and based at the prestigious Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge. They?ve recently secured significant funding and have been awarded several high-profile government grants! As a result of this success, they are growing their world-class multi-disciplinary team and are looking for a Project & Partner Manager. You must have a technical engineering background with a good understanding of quantum, photonics or telecoms. You?ll be trusted to represent and be ?the face? of the company. Responsibilities: Facilitate and coordinate the company?s external and internal people Manage 4 large Innovate UK projects with a total of 30+ partners Ensure project communication, organisation and reporting, coordination of meetings and workshops and present progress at project meetings Participate, report and advise to the Management Board Act as first point of contact for project partners Ensure internal projects are well designed and appropriately resourced and that the teams stay on track and motivated Coordinate and facilitate some of the team and company technical meeting, ensuring internal communication on projects and milestones is healthy Participate in discussions with Product Managers to help obtain and communicate partner feedback related to product development Qualifications: Excellent degree, ideally in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. Experience working in a relevant industry, preferably quantum, photonics or telecoms Experience participating or leading Innovate UK projects. Experience producing project reports for grant-funded projects Technical and interpersonal skills to gather requirements, manage expectations, motivate teams, design sensible technical projects and deliver these on time Proven experience managing industrial partners and projects to schedule and budget Proven experience managing teams and resources MS Project skills Start: Immediate Location: Cambridge, UK Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 If you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on (phone number removed) or apply online.
