Night Shift Maintenance Engineers Southern Cambridgeshire Commutable from - Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Bedford, Chatteris, St. Neots £47,500 + Overtime 4on 4off Permanent Nights Our client is a leading food packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Multi-Skilled Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, to come on board to support existing operations on a 4on 4off permanent night shift pattern. Role & Responsibilities: *Provide front line engineering support to all food production, processing & packaging machinery, PLC's, controls, conveyor systems and automated robot systems *Keep machinery working to the designed output efficiency *Monitor computer systems to determine efficiencies & development of systems *Assist in installation, commissioning of new equipment when necessary for projects *Dismantle and re-assemble all production equipment *Propose improvements to all equipment in order to improve reliability and efficiency *Regular PPM and scheduled maintenance and improvement works Knowledge, Skills & Experience: *Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - both electrical & mechanical skills *Track record of electrical control, including PLC's, contactors, relays, robotics & SCADA systems *Must have 17th Edition in Electrical Wiring Regs. *Qualified to ONC/HNC level in engineering *Have experience of working with automated production lines, packaging machinery & conveyors *Ideally have worked in a food manufacturing environment, FMCG or production industry *Must be able to work on own initiative sometimes when on night shift *Ideally knowledge of Six Sigma & lean manufacturing practices *Must have a recognised apprenticeship *Be a self-motivated individual and able to work in a strong team culture Shifts & Benefits Package: *Shift:-4on Nights (6pm-6.30am) - 4off *Salary:- £47,500 + Overtime *Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 20 Shift Holidays Per Year, Training Program Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Engineer, PLC Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Packaging Engineer, Packaging Technician Job Reference No: SE14437 / 534 If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Chris Gumm. directly at (url removed) or call them for a confidential discussion on (phone number removed).
