Key Responsibilities & Requirements- Support and assist the Accommodation Manager and Domestic Team in providing a safe, clean, efficient, high quality living environment for NHS Staff.
- Required to undertake and successfully complete mandatory training.
- Highlight any areas of knowledge where improvements can be made and actively seek personal development from senior colleagues.
- Undertake any relevant training for the post.
- Recognise that all people are different and require individual care, ensuring that team members understand this and act accordingly.
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- Act in a professional manner at all times in what they do and what they say when interacting with colleagues, service users and visitors.
- Identify and take action when own or others’ behaviour undermines equality and diversity.
- Understand the post role, routine and repetitive procedures.
- Organise routine to incorporate regular daily/weekly/monthly task requirements; schedule work requirements in the most efficient way with guidance from line manager and senior colleagues.
- Work without supervision when carrying out tasks as directed by senior colleagues.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces; make beds, replace linens and restock room and facility supplies as needed; maintain cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, kitchens and workspaces; identify and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Good general education at GCSE level or equivalent
- Customer care training
- A knowledge of cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of Manual handling, Health & Safety regulations and COSHH
- Ability to treat all information confidentially
- Ability to work within a team and take instruction
- Capable of working in a demand driven service
- Ability to communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the principles and standards of cleaning
- As well as being able to demonstrate examples of how they work in a way that is consistent with our values of compassion, excellence and collaboration, the successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate a commitment to driving culture change through equality, diversity and inclusion.
