Teaching Associate in Francophone Postcolonial Studies …, Cambridge

The French Section in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Francophone Postcolonial Studies. The post is fixed term from 1 September 2026 until 31 May 2028. The Section commits to providing career development and mentoring for the successful candidate.

The Teaching Associate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and examining of undergraduate and postgraduate courses (including language teaching) and to the administration of the Section's activities. We particularly welcome applicants with expertise in the literatures and cinemas of French West Africa and the French Caribbean.

Candidates will have relevant experience in teaching Francophone postcolonial literature and cinema and a strong publication record. They will hold a degree in a relevant field and be able to demonstrate active, collegial engagement in teaching and outreach in French Studies.
