Credit Controller, Kent

TPF Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Accountancy Practice based in Canterbury, who are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Credit Controller to join their treasury team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous credit control or accounts experience who enjoys working in a professional and fast-paced environment.

The Role

Working within the treasury department, you will assist the Partners with a range of duties including:

Preparing monthly sales ledger statementsManaging overdue debtor accounts and maintaining regular contact to ensure prompt paymentResolving account queries efficiently and liaising with partners where requiredChasing outstanding payments while maintaining strong professional relationshipsProcessing card payments and banking cheques when necessaryGeneral accounts administration and maintaining accurate records and filesPosting transactions using QuickBooks and XeroAssisting with additional ad hoc duties as requiredRequirementsRequirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts roleAAT Level 2 qualification (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressureA professional and self-motivated attitudeHigh levels of discretion and confidentialityGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesAt least 12 months’ experience in a similar position (preferred)Experience using accounting software, particularly Xero, would be advantageousBenefits
