Node.js - JavaScript - React - React Native We're very excited as we're working with a digital product design agency who are looking to grow their development team. This company started 6 years ago on the basis that they wanted to work with clients and on projects that have meaning, that have a purpose, and make a positive impact. What does that mean for you? It means you'll be working on bespoke web applications or mobile apps that are mainly tech for good. They're looking for the kind of developer who can roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. The tech stack they use is JavaScript, Node.js, React, and React Native. They really want someone who is genuinely curious about tech, ideally, you'll come to the table with new ideas and share it with the team. You'll be the one who pushes change in projects and you'll get listened too. They also love getting to know people outside of the development world, they're a close-knit team and work best when they build friendships with their peers and most importantly, have fun! What would your first 6 months look like? They're currently working on a few projects that are in the development phase so you'll be coming in and assisting with that. They're also in the early mapping phase of a mobile app which will be used for students to help discover their potential. Day-to-day? They're working from home right now and are discussing plans for the office as a team from January so you'll be onboarded remotely. They're all about communication and building up relationships and keep in touch over slack. They work in 2-week sprints in an Agile manner and you'll be working on 1-2 projects at any one time that will be in the development phase. They have 2 other developers (1 full-stack) and the other has moved into more of a Product Owner role but you'll still work really closely together. Summary? A technically curious developer skilled in Node.js with experience using AWS (ideally but not necessary), React, and/or React Native. You'll have previous experience of building and maintaining secure API's (Rest and GraphQL) and have experience using Git to version control all your code. Happy to work on projects that are having a positive impact.
