Associate Planner | Cardiff | Consultancy

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a highly regarded Planning and Design Consultancy in Cardiff on the hire of an experienced Town Planner at Principal/Associate level. The company are recognised experts in Town Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture and is based in central Cardiff, close to Cardiff Central Station. The position will involve advising a wide range of clients on projects that typically fall into the residential, education, healthcare, commercial and heritage sectors. In this role, you will be required to manage your own time, as well as managing a range of schemes alongside developing client relationships. Duties -Managing a caseload of projects -Using existing relationships to develop and bring new leads for the business -Supporting junior colleagues -Supporting the Directors with any appropriate work -Provide the following services to your clients; planning applications, discharging conditions, EIA coordination, appeals, LDP reps, expert witness, conservation/listed building consents. Ideal Candidate -Appropriate qualification and MRTPI status -Have strong planning experience gained in either a planning consultancy or with a developer/land promoter -Ability to manage demanding workload -Have strong communication skills -Be motivated with strong team skills -Keen to take on responsibility -Have existing relationships in the region / strong BD skills Professional Development The role will include ongoing coaching from the Directors who will work with you to help you realise your career objectives.
