Service Advisor - Automotive, Cardiff

Platform are working with a client based in Cardiff who are in need of a Service Advisor to deliver excellent customer service to automotive customers. The role is a permanent full-time role to join their growing team. Benefits: * Salary of £21,000 * Hours Monday - Friday working shifts 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am to 1pm * Excellent bonus scheme, easily achievable and based on servicing contracts and are paid in the month they are arranged * 23 days holiday plus stats * Pension plan * Free Parking The role: * Liaising closely with customers regarding service costs, providing help, service excellence and support * Costing parts relating to vehicle maintenance and providing quotes to customers * Booking in vehicle MOT?s * Arranging Servicing for vehicles * Securing contracts for long term maintenance on new vehicles (monthly bonuses paid on securing these contracts) * Booking appointments over the telephone and face to face * Deal with queries and liaise with internal Workshop team to relay information and provide updates to customers * Building and maintaining strong customer relationships * Meeting and greeting customers professionally * Gathering accurate customer details and vehicle faults at the first point of contact * Raising job cards and ensuring all necessary and compliant documentation forms parts of the job pack * Providing updates to customers throughout the process * Arranging vehicle handover to customer after work has been carried out * Providing details to customers regarding the repairs required/carried out * Actively up-sell after-sales services * Arranging payment * Provide advice on warranties Essential Skills: * Kerridge system experience is highly desirable * Automotive trade experience essential * Experience of similar within a vehicles/ parts environment * Experience of logging works completed and scheduling in appointments * Confident to liaise with both customers, internal departments and suppliers * Strong communication skills both written and verbal * I.T.
