Computational Immunologist, CF14

This is an exciting opportunity for a Computational Immunologist to join our award-winning client in Cardiff. This is not your average Computational Immunologist role, my client is building a world first platform to predict antibody-antigen binding and provide antibody drug candidates. The team are highly motivated in saving people lives with their work. It is essential for this position for the candidate to have some experience in Machine Learning. Computational Immunologist summary: As part of the core team, you will have great opportunity to architect my client?s AI-powered discovery platform on GCP. From data processing workflows to CI/CD implementations, they have plenty of exciting avenues to explore! My client is after an ambitious individual who wants to take on big problems and help drive a company towards success with unprecedented speed. There will be lots of pure research, but you may also get involved in key business activities like talking to stakeholders, driving collaborations and contributing to funding applications or publications. Computational Immunologist requirements: * Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Immunology, or a related field (M.S. will be considered with multi-year industry experience) * Good knowledge of Python and TensorFlow * Experienced in analysing B-cell, T-cell and antibody datasets * Experienced in analysing NGS datasets * Strong skills in problem solving, planning, documentation, and organisation * Respect for others * Ability to work and communicate well with others is essential * We are a start-up that tackles an issue that nobody thought could be tackled. You will be comfortable with uncertainty and make decisions regardless. * You will need to be self-disciplined and be able to work without much guidance or nudging from others and have the drive to get tasks done. * Experience with docking, structure prediction preferred * GCP and AWS knowledge preferred * Publication or product implementation record that demonstrates creativity in applied machine learning preferred * Knowledge of molecular dynamics simulation preferred Computational Immunologist responsibilities: * Developing ML models for antigen-antibody prediction * Developing ML models for antibody generation * Curation and expansion of bioinformatics datasets * Business development, contributing to publications etc
