We are recruiting aCommunicationsManager to support the development and delivery of communications for the Bill Discount Scheme (BDS), a major policy initiative designed to improve the acceptability of energy infrastructure among host communities and wider audiences. This is an impactful rolewhereeffective, insight-led communications will be critical to achieving policy outcomes.
Job description
You will develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy aligned to the schemesobjectives, using audience insight and behavioural science to inform your approach. Working collaboratively with the Delivery and Schemes directorate, Ofgems central communications teams, and DESNZ, you will help ensure messaging is clear,consistentand effective across all channels.
The role includes shaping stakeholder mapping and audience segmentation, developing targeted messaging, and supporting engagement activity such as workshops,forumsand senior stakeholder sessions. You will contribute to implementation planning across multiple channels, including community engagement and wider stakeholder communications, and play a key role inestablishingmetrics and KPIs tomonitorand evaluate communications activity.

Essential:
- Significant experienceof developing and delivering strategic communications or public engagement campaigns, ideally within a policy or regulatory context(LEAD)
- Experience of audience research, insight gathering, and segmentation to inform targeted communications planning(LEAD)
- Proven ability to develop communications strategies with clear, measurable objectives linked to organisational or policy goals
- Strong understanding of behaviourchangecommunications principles and their application within campaigns
