Supply Chain and Procurement Assistant Salary: £17,000 - £18,500 Job type: Permanent Location: Carlisle, Cumbria Hours: Full-Time - Must have flexibility We have an exciting opportunity to join a local telecommunications company. Our client is a growing business, located in Carlisle, Cumbria and the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player. The Role: Working within an office and warehouse environment. Close working with the accounts team. Conducting stock management and control within the warehouse, assisting with Buying/Procurement duties and extensive Excel duties. Main responsibilities: * Create and maintain an effective stores management system for the receipt, recording and issue of all stores. minimising losses * Expediting stock and orders to ensure delivery on time * Effective management of company fleet e.g. arranging servicing, taxation, MOT, fit outs, some collection and delivery of vehicles from locations * Assisting engineering team with stores requirements * Occasional Stores delivery to sites if required * Ensuring best value for money on company purchases, placing orders and agreeing pricing * Setting up new supplier trade accounts * Use of Quick Books for purchase information Skills and Experience: * IT literate, particularly adept in the use of Microsoft packages especially Excel, Outlook and Word * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and cross team working * Structured methodical approach * Full clean driving licence and confident and willing to drive company vans, sometime on longer distances * Trustworthy self-starter with an ability to work without close supervision and hands on approach * Good attention to detail Apply today or call Thomas on (phone number removed) for more details NXT Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
