Garden Centre Assistant Job type: Temporary 4-6 months Location: Carlisle (Rural) Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays) Pay rate: £8.72 We are currently recruiting for a temporary nursery worker on behalf of a busy horticultural business based near Carlisle. This is a very hands-on position and you must be willing to work outdoors as well as indoors. The role: To assist the Nursery Manager in all areas of the nursery management and carry out a range of duties including: * Watering and fertilising plants with good attention to detail * Pricking out seedings * Potting on & Planting * Seed sowing * Compost mixing * Weeding pots and pruning * Nursery Maintenance * Managing and preparing internet orders for dispatch Profile In order to be considered for the role you must have an interest in plants and be willing to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
