Facilities Domestic Assistant - Endoscopy

Location: Endoscopy CIC Town Carlisle
Schedule: Part‑time 16.5 hours per week, 6:00am‑9:30am, 3‑week rolling rota including 2 weekends out of 3
Salary: £25,272 per annum pro rata

Job Overview

Assist with cleaning duties within hospital premises, consistently maintaining high standards of cleanliness in consultation and clinical areas, offices and other tenancy.

Main Duties

• Collect linen stores as required
• Comply with infection prevention and control procedures at all times
• Safeguard children and vulnerable adults (H&S & training)
• Carry out damp dusting of furniture and fittings at high and low levels
• Mop floor areas and maintain floors using electrical equipment as needed
• Check electrical equipment is in good condition and PAT tested
• Clean toilets, baths and washbasins
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with regulations
• Assist with ward or departmental duties as appropriate
• Undertake second wipe cleaning of bodily fluids as required
• Guard against needle stick risk, especially in toilet areas
• Wear uniform and protective clothing as instructed

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent
• BICSc certification or equivalent
• NVQ 2 in Cleaning and Support Services

Knowledge & Experience

• Knowledge of cleaning, food handling/hygiene, COSHH procedures
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Work in a hospital environment
• Work in a domestic role
