South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Central Service Analyst for its Barnsley office.

Main duties of the job
  • Service Performance Reporting – Design and production of reports across ARP Services to support communication at Board level and supplier and service review meetings.
  • Incident Management – Monitor supplier incident management activities, raise and respond to escalations and jeopardy management, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Asset and Configuration Management – Maintain the ARP Configuration Management database (CMDB) and ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Change Management – Maintain the ARP Change log and FSC, work with suppliers on workplans, prepare information, attend the Change Advisory Board and Emergency CAB, own the Supplier RFC Pack, and circulate the weekly Post‑CAB Summary.
  • Continuous Service Improvement – Work with suppliers, ARP colleagues and Central Service Managers to identify and implement service improvements.

About the Organisation

The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) is an enduring organisation directly appointed by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to provide and upgrade emergency communications for UK ambulance services. ARP has a large team of over eighty staff working across the country to deliver and maintain a £460 m programme of work. The mission is to implement new technology that enhances patient care and prepares the ambulance service for the Home Office’s Emergency Services Network (ESN).

ARP is introducing a range of new technology-based services to ambulance services and air ambulance charities, including upgrades to the national ambulance fleet (≈ 6500 vehicles) and development of data‑rich communications products for frontline paramedic and control‑room staff.

Qualifications
  • Meet the Knowledge and Skills Framework for the role
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate
  • Current full driving licence
  • Prince 2 Foundation
Experience
  • Service Management Analyst (or equivalent) experience
  • Experience in service and quality improvement within a healthcare setting
  • Experience managing relationships and coordinating work across cross‑organisational teams
  • Ambulance Trust services experience (A&E, doctors OOH, patient transport services, 111)
