Roles and Responsibilities

Social Workers work alongside people, families and carers to help them identify and achieve their goals within the statutory framework of the Care Act. This includes conducting assessments, reviews, support planning and safeguarding activities, and listening to what matters most to the individual to facilitate a person‑centred approach.

Travel throughout Essex is essential. A valid driving licence and access to a car, or alternative arrangements to meet mobility requirements, are mandatory to meet the needs of the role.

About You

Registered with Social Work England and possessing a creative, reliable and practical approach to delivering results.

Demonstrated understanding of statutory responsibilities and a commitment to meeting these in a person‑centred way.

Experience of chairing meetings and developing strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.

Possession of a valid driving licence and reliable access to a vehicle (or ability to meet mobility requirements).
