Finance Manager, Cheltenham

Finance Manager Cheltenham £40,000 - £45,000 Hands-on Finance Manager role in an acquisitive Cheltenham-based business who are on a strong financial footing. This will appeal to candidates who thrive on variety and enjoy working in an SME. It would suit those who have some experience working in a similar environment, particularly those who work or have worked in a Group environment with extensive intercompany movements. You will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, payroll and ledger control and the preparation of a number of monthly VAT returns. As in any SME, you will roll your sleeves up and post the odd invoice and chase debt and it is crucial that you can adapt to the changing needs of the business. We're looking for someone with a great eye for detail and an effective communicator with sound IT skills. You will have broad finance experience, demonstrable experience of cash management and have an up-to-date understanding of the likes of VAT, PAYE/NI and pension regulations.
