An exciting opportunity not to be missed! Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) is looking for a Lead Data Solutions Analyst to join our team based in Cheltenham. You will join us on a full-time, fixed term basis for up to 12 months, and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £29,370 - £40,000 per annum. Responsibilities of our Lead Data Solutions Analyst: - Advanced data manipulation, utilising query languages with relational databases and data warehouse structures. - Planning and delivering data migration activity from legacy systems onto HESA?s new data collection platform. - Define and implement analytical standards, eliciting customer requirements, generating appropriate specifications. - Implementation of analytical standards within HESA?s data model or data warehouse, utilising data modelling software and encoding outputs. - Applying and advocating best practice in data and analytical standards across the organisation. What we?re looking for in our Lead Data Solutions Analyst: - Educated to graduate-level in a highly numerate subject such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science. - Relevant work experience and knowledge, including extensive experience of querying and manipulating data using query tools and languages such as SQL (e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL) - Experience of working with data, databases, metadata and data models, experience of data migration activities and have experience of successfully leading work packages. - Strong understanding of and interest in the UK HE sector and its key data resources is desirable. - Experience of agile working practices, e.g. SCRUM is desirable.
