Bank Kitchen Assistant, Charlton Kings

Agincare is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for a care home located in Gloucestershire (Grevill House). The role is a paid bank position, available on a flexible basis as and when required.

• Assist the chef in preparing balanced meals and snacks for residents, taking into account dietary requirements and allergens.
• Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with COSHH, health and safety and food safety regulations.
• Work as part of a team but also be able to work independently, managing your own time and workload.
• Provide support, communication and engagement to residents during mealtimes.
• Support administrative tasks related to meal planning and menu preparation as required.

• Minimum 12 months of valid right to work in the UK.
• Previous kitchen experience, preferably within a care home setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and COSHH regulations.
• Flexible availability to cover banking shifts.
• Self‑motivated, caring, and able to show empathy to residents’ needs.

• £12.91 per hour.
