Position Overview

Enhanced Teaching Assistant (x6)

Grade 6 – £28,142 to £31,022 (pro rata for term time + 2 weeks)

Permanent, Full Time – Term Time plus 2 weeks

Start date: shortly after DBS clearance

Responsibilities

• Support individual, small group and whole class learning under teacher direction
• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities with teaching staff
• Provide specialist support for pupils with complex SEND needs
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Monitor progress and contribute to reports and pupil records
• Support behaviour, care needs and inclusion throughout the school day
• Collaborate with staff, families and external professionals
• Assist with classroom organisation, resources and wider school activities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience, proactive and caring, with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs
• Enhanced DBS check (required)
• Strong verbal communication skills in accurate spoken English

Benefits & Working Conditions

Full-time role with term time plus two additional weeks’ pay, paid in 12 equal monthly installments.

Employees with less than 5 years’ service receive 27 days annual leave; those with more than 5 years receive 32 days.
