Job role: HGV Mechanic Location: Chesterfield Shift: 4 on 4 off DAYS Annual Salary: £36,200 per year + overtime paid at £21.75 per hour Permanent Position My client, a Commercial Vehicle maintainer based in the Chesterfield area is actively seeking to employ a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to work directly on their fleet of Tractor Units, Rigids and trailers. Working in a purpose built workshop in a team of highly skilled and experienced Mechanics, you will be required to undertake all aspects of maintenance on Trucks and trailers Duties to include: Vehicle inspections Defect Repairs Pre-Planned Servicing Electrical, Hydraulic & Mechanical Fault Finding & Diagnostics Reactive Maintenance PMI's MOT PreparationThe client is looking for an HGV Mechanic with full industry qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or industry equivalent), a heavy vehicle driving licence would be beneficial but not essential, should you not have a heavy vehicle driving licence, training will be offered after a probationary period. Hours of work are on a 4 on 4 off rolling DAY shift pattern working 06:00-18:00 and 08:00-20:00 The basic annual salary for this role will be £36,200 per year with overtime available paid up to £21.75 per hour.
